Experienced Quality Manager from within a manufacturing environment, any Packaging / Blow moulding experience would be an advantageous, with experience of Quality, management systems, QA testing procedures and you’ll need to possess good problem solving techniques.
JOB PURPOSE:
To manage and develop the quality function of the business to ensure that it has the right skills, processes, materials, information and procedures to consistently meet customers requirements and the standards established by formal quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001, BRC/IOP) thereby maintaining a competitive edge within the market place. With full responsibility for the Quality department.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Ensure the integrity of the quality system is maintained and developed thereby contributing to the achievement of consistent operational performance and standards.
• Manage and develop the QA function and promoting a total quality philosophy at all levels, thereby developing and sustaining a culture of right first time and continuous improvement.
• Recruit, develop, motivate and manage a QA team that optimises its effectiveness, is flexible in the support it offers and meets current and future business needs.
• Contribute to factory efficiency by improving the performance of supplied materials, and assisting production in establishing better controls over the blow moulding process.
• To investigate and develop new systems and working practices to improve quality, reliability and efficiency, through continuous measurement (including application of SPC), feedback and action.
• Manage the customer complaint procedure, investigation of quality problems, identification of causes and development of cost effective corrective and preventative actions in order to ensure the integrity of quality management within the business.
• Establish and develop good professional working relationships with customers.
• Prevent conversion problems arising with new product by having a robust design and specification procedure in place, which takes account of process capability at product design stage.
• Ensure compliance with business obligations throughout the site relating to UN regulations.
• To ensure UN containers are tested within the defined guidelines of the testing programme, ensuring containers are submitted for re-qualification and certificates maintained.
• Integrate close working relationships with customer services, production and technical with respect to improvements across the business.
• To ensure a high standard of hygiene is maintained at all times within the site.
• To cover Health, Safety and Environmental issues in the case of absence/sickness and holidays ensuring effective handover is carried out. This will include cover of days not worked by SHE Manager with regards to accident reporting.

A Blow Moulding Setter / Technician position within a successful company within the plastics/packaging industry.
Responsibilities include setting up moulding machinery to first off standard, running job to completion, ensuring use of set process parameters, to monitor the blow moulding process, ensuring product quality and repeatability.
The moulding shop contains a variety of blow moulding machine sand ancillaries including Bekum, Kautex and Sidel - any previous knowledge of these is advantageous but by no means essential.
In this role you'll be working permanent days Monday to Friday and the position comes with very good prospects.

Responsible for reactive and planned maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment. Additionally to identify and carry out modifications and installation of new equipment.
Ability to maintain and repair manufacturing and site service equipment to a high standard. A multi-skilled role covering mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
Experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical bias preferably with a plastics / packaging background is required by this successful injection and blow moulding company.
Responsible for faultfinding, repair and rectifications and planned and preventative maintenance.
Any previous injection or blow moulding / ancillary equipment knowledge advantageous.
